Job Description
Project Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
Project safety and quality focus on live construction sites
Hands on role with real influence on site safety culture
Respected, growing builder with a reputation built on trust
Macneil Group was founded on expertise, integrity and trust, and it's grown the way the best builders do, through word of mouth, repeat clients and relationships that outlast any single build.
Working across commercial, residential and investor led developments through to healthcare, industrial and government projects, Macneil Group has earned a rare position in the market, and its people are a big part of why.
As the Project Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Human Resources Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in keeping Macneil Group's projects secure, compliant and to the standard the business is known for.
You'll report to the Manager and work closely with management, project supervisors, employees, subcontractors and regulators.
The scope of HR work is shaped around your skills and experience, with room to take on more as your career grows.
The role
A typical day at Macneil Group will see you:
Maintaining and continuously improving the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System
Developing and monitoring Project Specific Quality Plans for construction projects
Coordinating site audits and inspections, then driving corrective actions through to close out
Supporting incident investigations, return to work and injury management
Keeping registers, subcontractor prequalification and inductions up to date
Preparing safety alerts and toolbox meetings that site teams actually use
Liaising with WorkSafe Victoria and other regulators where required
Supporting HR activities as your experience allows
About You
A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent, backed by real hands on experience in a QHSE coordination or administration role
A good grasp of WHS legislation, contractor management and compliance, and comfortable with electronic quality, safety and document systems and advanced Microsoft Office
Experience in residential or commercial construction is preferred, but it's not essential if you know how to get safety done in a practical way
HR administration experience is a bonus
Organised, detail focused and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision, with the discretion to handle sensitive information properly
A genuine team player who communicates clearly with site crews, subcontractors, management and external stakeholders
Why join Macneil Group
Join a builder with real credibility and a reputation built on trust and repeat clients
Make a visible difference to safety on live projects and across the whole organisation
Take real ownership of the safety and quality systems that keep projects running
Work alongside an experienced, close knit management team and project supervisors
Grow your skills in a business that backs continuous improvement and professional development
Competitive salary, negotiated based on your experience
Current Victorian driver licence required
