Job Description
Our birds are a much-loved and cherished part of our Sylvania Waters property, and we're looking for a caring, reliable and attentive person to help look after them and their feeding area.
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys birds and takes pride in creating a secure, welcoming and well-maintained environment for them.
We're looking for someone who will approach the task with patience, kindness and genuine care, ensuring the bird feeder is kept clean, stocked and inviting.
Our feathered visitors are an important part of the property, and we value someone who will treat them with the same thoughtfulness and respect that we do.
A gentle nature, reliability and an appreciation for wildlife would be highly valued.
If you love birds, enjoy spending a little time outdoors and would take pleasure in helping maintain a peaceful and bird-friendly space, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Feeding our Macaws and Australian parrots
Providing fresh water daily
Cleaning feeding and water areas
Checking the birds and their surroundings
Monitoring their general wellbeing
Keeping their aviaries and surroundings clean, safe and comfortable
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Genuinely loves birds and animals
Is gentle, patient and dependable
Is comfortable around large parrots
Takes animal wellbeing seriously
Can commit to regular daily care,



including weekends and public holidays as required
Previous experience with Macaws, parrots, aviary birds or other animals is highly regarded, but a genuine love of birds, the right attitude and reliability are just as important.
This role would suit someone local to Sylvania Waters and surrounding areas who is looking for a rewarding ongoing position caring for some very special birds.
