Both hotels are within walking distance to Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre and the Chermside Bus Interchange.We are seeking an experienced Guest Service Agentto join ourfriendly team on a Casual basis working night shifts 2-10pm (approx. 24 to 32hours per week) to work across both hotels as required.There is opportunity for the role to become full time and progress into leadership roles if desired.About the RoleAs a Guest Service Agent, you are the first point of call for our guests.
We are looking for a customer focused problem solver who has a natural ability to build rapport and provide great customer service.The work is fast paced and involves all aspects of hotel front office reception, including various administration duties and customer service.Preparing arrival paperwork and room keysProcessing guest departures, including financial transactionsManaging room allocations and booking chartProviding friendly customer service in response to accommodation or in-house enquiriesManaging the front office inbox, actioning emails accordinglyEnsuring the smooth running of the reception desk during hotel hoursDemonstrating strong communication skills, both oral and writtenTaking room service orders and restaurant bookingsPromoting the business to achieve accommodation sales and repeat guestsThe work is complex, engaging and very rewarding - you will be challenged in a good way,



with lots of support coupled with extensive training.The Ideal CandidateYou will have a genuine passion for customer service and making someone's day.
Ideally in your working history you will have:Previous experience within the tourism, hotel, travel or hospitality sectoris a MUST.Completed or be working towards a Hotel, Tourism and/or Business degree (highly regarded but not essential)Strong computer skills, with experience using Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel preferredExperience using RMS, or a similar reservation system would be advantageous, however, full training will be providedExcellent oral and written communication, including phone manner and a professional approach to email writingA highly organized and efficient style of working, with excellent time management skillsA keen eye for detail, with high standards of personal presentationThe ability to work mornings, afternoons or evenings and/or a combination of these times.
