Pre-Uni Recent College Oakleigh is seeking a reliable, confident and highly organised Assistant Centre Coordinator / Senior Tutor to join our team.
This is a part-time position designed for someone who can act as the second point of responsibility within the centre, supporting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day academic and operational running of the campus.
Alongside teaching, you will help supervise tutors, support students and parents, oversee classes, respond to issues as they arise and assist with ensuring the centre operates smoothly and consistently.Key responsibilitiesSupport the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operation of the centreAct as a second point of contact for tutors, students and parents when the Branch Manager is unavailableOversee classes and ensure tutors are prepared, punctual and following expected teaching standardsProvide guidance and support to tutors regarding lesson delivery, classroom management and student concernsAssist with tutor induction, training and ongoing mentoringMonitor student progress and identify students requiring additional support, extension or follow-upAssist with resolving classroom, behavioural or academic issuesCommunicate with parents regarding student progress,



concerns and general academic matters when requiredSupport administrative staff during busy periods and assist with coordinating students and classesAssist with assessment preparation, marking processes, academic resources and class organisationAbout youResponsible, approachable and able to take initiativeComfortable making decisions and communicating with students, parents and staffPrevious tutoring or teaching experience is highly preferredStrong communication and organisational skillsConfident working with children and teenagersMature and able to handle sensitive situations professionallyExperience supervising, mentoring or supporting other tutors will be highly regardedMust be available to work on Fridays and SaturdaysAbout usPre-Uni New College Oakleigh provides academic tuition and enrichment programs for primary and secondary students.
