Enabling rapid response to customer requirements and providing round-the-clock coverage, 365 days a year.This extensive footprint allows Lanes to combine local responsiveness with national capability, ensuring consistent service standards while maintaining close relationships with regional customers and infrastructure partners.Purpose of the roleTo support CCTV Drainage Engineers in inspecting, surveying, and assessing drainage and sewer systems using specialist CCTV camera equipment.
The role helps identify blockages, defects, cracks, collapses, and other drainage issues so that appropriate repairs can be planned and carried out.Key Responsibilities:Maintain great customer service and communicationAdhere to company absence reporting procedureUpdating and completing site documentation using electronic tabletEnsure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.Report any issues or hazards by following company proceduresFollow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working setting.Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasksMaintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment.Key Requirements:Skills & Experience:Full UK driving license (Required)Banksman (Desirable)Manual Handling (Desirable)Emergency First Aid (Desirable)NRSWA (Desirable)EUSR National Water Hygiene (Desirable)Medium risk confined space (Desirable)About the Role:Location: Washington, Tyne and WearHours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per weekSalary: £14 - £15 per hour dependant on experience21 days holiday + bank holidaysLiving the Company ValuesBy embedding our companies core values and purpose into each role, ensures that every employee, regardless of their role or level, understands how their individual development and contributions align with our purpose of 'improving today for a better tomorrow'.
