Job Description
Due to ongoing growth and expansion we are hiring a Junior Insolvency Accountant in our Melbourne office. This role will provide you with exposure to a full range of formal insolvency appointments such as voluntary administrations, liquidation, receiverships and bankruptcy as well as informal engagements such as investigative accounting and
restructuring/turnaround
engagements. You will work directly with Principals in a collegiate work model and are actively encouraged and supported to pursue your own career objectives.
Key responsibilities n
Onboard new insolvency clients into relevant systems
n
Prepare standard notifications for recent appointments
n
Prepare and monitor ASIC statutory lodgments
n
Assist in drafting reports for key stakeholders, including creditors
n
Operate insolvency accounting software to input, process, and maintain client data
n
Prepare and lodge BAS for insolvency appointments
n
Generate and analyse financial reports for insolvent entities
n
Conduct investigations into transactions and financial statements
n
Maintain records and ensure statutory requirements are met
n
Manage tasks related to the finalisation of liquidation and bankruptcy matters
About you n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
n
Have commenced, or are willing to commence CA or CPA
n
At least 1-2 years of working experience in an accounting or audit role




n
Familiarity with Xero and MYOB accounting software is advantageous as well as proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
n
Robust attention to detail and accuracy
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high standard of work
