Fuzlec is looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Canberra, ACT.
n
This is a long-term position, with the current project expected to continue through to ****.
The role would suit either: n
n
n
A Canberra/ACT-based operator looking for secure, long-term work; or
n
n
A Melbourne/Victoria-based operator who is happy to work away from home.
n
The Role n
You will be involved in civil works associated with electrical and infrastructure construction, including:
n
n
n
Excavation and trenching for underground services
n
n
Excavating around existing services
n
n
Installation of conduits and pits
n
n
Detailed excavation and preparation works
n
n
Backfilling and reinstatement
n
n
Reading plans and working to levels
n
n
Operating excavators and associated plant
n
n
Driving company trucks as required
n
n
Working closely with electricians and civil crews
n
n
Assisting with general civil duties when required
n
What We're Looking For n
To be considered, you will need:
n
n
n
Strong excavator experience within civil construction
n
n
Experience working around underground services
n
n
Trenching, conduit and pit installation experience
n
n
Current HR truck licence
n
n
Excavator competency/tickets
n
n
Construction Industry White Card
n
n




Current driver's licence
n
n
Strong understanding of safe excavation practices
n
n
Ability to read plans and work to levels
n
n
Good communication and teamwork
n
n
A practical, hands-on attitude
n
n
Willingness to assist outside the machine when required
n
n
Experience in electrical infrastructure, utilities, water, sewer or similar civil projects will be highly regarded.
n
n
Additional plant tickets, skid steer/loader experience and GPS machine-control experience would also be advantageous.
