has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life, the underground mine targets high quality coal, with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE n
To support our ongoing growth, we currently have a number of opportunities for
Experienced Underground Longwall and/or Development Operators
to join our Team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in underground coal mining, specifically longwall and/or continuous miner experience, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will be responsible for operating various types of underground mining equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production.

Key responsibilities:
n
n
Operate underground mining equipment including continuous miners, roof bolters, shuttle cars, and load-haul-dump (LHD) machines.
n
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
n
Perform equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
n




Monitor and manage the mining process to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
n
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate operations.
n
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.
n
Maintain accurate records of operations and report any incidents or irregularities.
n
ABOUT YOU n
Successful applicants will have:
n
n
Minimum 2 years' experience in Underground Longwall Coal Mining.
n
Current competency in the operation of plant or equipment in underground coal mining.
n
Proven track record of safely working in an underground mining environment.
n
Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in coal mining.
n
Ability to work in a physically demanding workplace and handle heavy equipment.
n
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
n
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
n
Experienced continuous miner operators will be highly regarded.
n
n
Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Order 45 medical, including drug and alcohol.
