About us n
Man of Steel Fabrication has been building custom 4WD trays, canopies and full touring fit-outs in Campbellfield for 10 years. We're a small, tight team, and we're growing. Every vehicle that comes through the door is a one-off, built around how the customer actually uses it.
The role n
We're looking for a qualified sheet metal fabricator to join us full time. You'll build trays, canopies and fit-outs from start to finish, working from SolidWorks drawings alongside our designer and the rest of the workshop team.

Fabricating and MIG welding trays, canopies and components
n
Grinding and finishing to a neat, clean standard
n
Reading workshop drawings and assembling from laser-cut and folded parts
n
Fitting completed builds to customer vehicles
n
Fitting vehicle accessories, with some vehicle modification work
n
Helping guide our apprentices on the floor
About you n




Trade qualified in fabrication (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent)
n
Neat on the grinder: our customers see every weld and edge, so finish matters
n
Able to read drawings and work without someone standing over you
n
Comfortable working on vehicles, fitting accessories and doing the odd modification
n
Reliable, with a current driver's license
n
Experience with trays, canopies, trailers or truck bodies is a big plus
n
An interest in 4WDs and touring helps, but isn't essential
What's on offer n
$35 to $45 per hour plus super, depending on experience
n
Full time, Monday to Friday, steady hours
n
Varied work: every build is different, and you see it finished and driving out the door
