Quell is a high-growth British defence and security AI technology start-up developing solutions to counter drone, vehicle, and human threats across the military, civilian and CNI sectors.We are currently seeking a Junior Stores & Logistics Assistant to support our teams.This is a varied, on-the-ground role suited to someone who is practical, organised, and happy to get stuck in.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of goods coming into the business, keeping stock organised and accurately allocated, and supporting the wider team with general operational tasks, including occasional driving and workshop upkeep.This is a great chance for someone early in their logistics or operations career who wants to grow within a fast-moving start-up environment.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, check, and log incoming goods against purchase orders/delivery notesInspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and flag issues promptlyAccurately allocate and store stock in designated locationsMaintain organised, clean,



and safe storage areasKeep stock records/inventory system up to dateSupport regular stock counts and auditsPick and prepare stock/parts for internal teams or dispatchGeneral OperationsAssist with loading/unloading deliveriesDriving company vehicles for local collections, deliveries, or errands (as required)Basic maintenance and organisation of tools, equipment, and materialsSupport other departments with ad hoc logistical or operational tasks as the business requiresRequirementsFull, clean UK driving licencePhysically able to carry out manual handling tasks (lifting, moving stock, etc)Good attention to detail and strong organisational skillsReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyComfortable using basic computer systems (e.g. spreadsheets, inventory software)Positive and flexible attitude.
Happy to take on varied tasksPrevious experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics environmentExperience with stock management or inventory softwareInterest in technology/engineering environmentsDetailsLocation: Uttlesford / Greater Cambridge, on-siteFive days a week on-site (ie: this is not a hybrid role)Applicants must be fully eligible to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or the need for current or future sponsorship.
