In this initial 6-month Local Council position, you will work 5 days out of 7 with a casual hourly pay of $***** + penalties as required.
Possibility of extension for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate complaints regarding barking and animal noise nuisanceCollect explicit, factual, and impartial evidence while ensuring natural justiceConduct property history checks and determine appropriate enforcement actionsMonitor properties using audio recording devices (e.g., Noise Net)



and analyse dataProvide advice to owners on reducing noise nuisance and allow reasonable compliance timeframesPrepare neighbourhood surveys and manage community expectationsPromote and support responsible pet ownership across the CityTo Be SuccessfulProven ability to conduct investigations and produce effective outcomes within the parameters of relevant legislation, local laws, Council policies, plans and programsStrong communication and organisational time management skillsFlexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented approachProven conflict resolution skillsAbility to work with animals of all behaviour typesStrong investigation and negotiation skillsLicenses and CertificatesCurrent C class drivers licenseCert IV in Government Investigations or similar highly regarded
