Job Description
The Townsville RSL is seeking a
full-time Finance Manager
to lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department. This is a hands‐on finance leadership role suited to an accomplished finance professional with demonstrated experience across financial management, reporting and compliance.

Reporting directly to the
General Manager
, the Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Club's financial operations and ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial management.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Preparing accurate and timely monthly financial reports for the Board
n
Processing payroll and superannuation accurately and within required timeframes
n
Preparing and monitoring annual budgets
n
Completing BAS and GST reporting
n
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
n
Liaising with auditors, financial institutions, insurers and other external stakeholders
n
Monitoring food and labour costs and providing financial insights to management
n




Tracking cash flow and preparing cash flow forecasts
n
Coordinating and finalising end-of-month stocktakes
n
Providing financial advice and support to the General Manager and Board
n
Ensuring financial processes, controls and reporting requirements are maintained to a high standard
n
About You n
n
Qualified
, with
5+ years' relevant experience
in a finance or accounting role
n
Demonstrated experience in financial management and reporting
n
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and a high level of financial integrity
n
The ability to work independently, prioritise competing deadlines and take ownership of responsibilities
n
Solid computer skills and confidence working with accounting and financial systems
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
The ability to analyse financial information and provide clear, practical advice to management
n
Hospitality, club or similar industry experience is highly desirable
n
