Provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants in the Ryde and Merrylands areas. The role requires a reliable, adaptable and compassionate support worker with a positive can-do attitude, confidence working independently, and previous experience supporting people with intellectual disability and complex support needs.
Key responsibilities n
n
Provide person-centred support based on individual needs and goals
n
Support participants with daily living activities and routines
n
Assist with community access, appointments, shopping and social activities
n
Provide personal care where required
n
Support participants to develop and maintain independence and life skills
n




Follow individual support plans and behaviour support strategies where applicable
n
Complete accurate shift notes and relevant documentation
n
Maintain professional boundaries and communicate effectively with participants, families and the wider support team
n
About you n
n
Experienced in supporting people with intellectual disability
n
Patient, respectful, compassionate and reliable
n
Flexible with availability and willing to work across Ryde and/or Merrylands
n
Proactive, with a positive can-do attitude
n
Confident managing different situations while remaining calm and professional
n
A good communicator and able to work independently as well as part of a team
n
