Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
for a full-time
night shift
opportunity with an established heavy vehicle workshop in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.
n
This position will suit an experienced mechanics who enjoys working on
prime movers and heavy commercial vehicles
and is looking for stable, long-term employment with a consistent evening/night shift.
n
The position offers a
5:00 PM start and applicable shift loadings on top of the base rate
.

Opportunity to work across a range of heavy commercial vehicles

Supportive and experienced workshop team

n
Working within an experienced workshop team, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
n
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
n
Repairs to engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension and driveline components
n
Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying required repairs
n
General mechanical repairs and component replacement
n




Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
n
Accurately recording servicing and repair work
n
About You n
To be considered for this position, you will require:
n
n
An Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
n
Strong hands-on experience servicing and repairing
prime movers and heavy vehicles
n
Sound diagnostic and fault-finding skills
n
Experience across a range of heavy vehicle systems
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team
n
A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
n
Availability to work a afternoon
shift commencing at 5:00 PM
n
n
You must also be able to provide:
