The City Fleet Group consists of Queensland owned workshops, with authorised repair agents right across the country and has been servicing the heavy vehicle transport industry for over20 years.We are, more often than not, the alternative to the expensive OEM, with experience maintaining such brands as CAT, CUMMINS, Sitrak, Kenworth, Mack Scania, Isuzu, Hino, Fuso & many more, for many national fleet customers.About the roleCity Fleet is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team in our Townsville Workshop (Mount St John) delivering high-quality mechanical and technical support to our customers.Key responsibilitiesPerform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles in a workshop environmentConduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, brake inspections, tyre rotations, and moreTroubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in trucksRepair or replace engine components, such as fuel pumps, turbochargers, and timing beltsPerform minor welding, cutting,



and fabrication repairs as requiredMaintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, repairs made, and hours workedEnsure all work is carried out following safety standards and company policiesAbout youProven experience as a mechanic working with heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehiclesAustralian Recognised Trade CertificateAbility to diagnose, maintain, and repair a variety of heavy road transport fleets in the workshop and fieldMust have own hand toolsHigh level of precision and attention to detail in repairs and maintenanceAbility to work effectively as part of a team and independentlyReliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality serviceMinimum C class license required, ideally HR licenseMust hold a valid work visa or Australian work rightsCompetitive hourly rate based on experience and rostersSuperannuation paid on all hours workedWork life balance Monday to Friday roleTraining and development opportunitiesFriendly and supportive work environmentFor more information regarding City Fleet Transport Maintenance, visit our website -
