We are seeking a talented Commis chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at Billy Chow' in Coolangatta, Queensland.
This is a full-time position where you will play a vital role in supporting our Head Chef and Senior Chefs in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
What you'll be doing
Assist the Head Chef and Senior Chefs in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for our menu
Learn and develop new culinary skills and techniques under the guidance of our experienced team
Ensure all kitchen operations adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve kitchen processes and menu items
Undertake any other duties as required to support the kitchen team
What we're looking for
Passion for food and a keen interest in the culinary arts
Some experience in a commercial kitchen workplace, either as a commis chef or apprentice




Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Relevant culinary qualifications or a commitment to undertaking an apprenticeship program
