We pride ourselves as being part of the hobby community, as collectors and enthusiasts ourselves.About the roleWe are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic event coordinator to join Cherry Collectables in West Melbourne.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing Cherry's presence at trading card shows and events, with a focus on sales, inventory management, customer engagement, stand operations, purchasing opportunities, brand representation, and maximising the commercial return from each event.
As well as coordinating instore events.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the collectables or events industry and the prospect to be part of a dynamic team.What you'll be doingAssist with all aspects of events run or attended by CherryPlan the stand layout and presentation.Prepare high-value cards, sealed product, singles, slabs, memorabilia, and promotional products.Organise pricing, labels, displays, binders, showcases,



and signage.Arrange transport of stock and equipment to the venue.Organise staff schedules and responsibilities.Manage the booth and staff.Help set up and pack down the stand.Keep the stand stocked and visually appealing.Handle customer enquiries and sales.Buy collections and individual cards from customers.Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive shopping experience for all customersAssisting with the day-to-day retail operations, including merchandising, stock management, and cash handlingMaintaining a high level of store presentation and cleanlinessProviding product knowledge and recommendations to customersAnswering customer inquiries and addressing any concerns in a professional and friendly mannerEnsuring a safe, clean and secure work environment for both customers and colleaguesWhat we're looking forPrevious experience in an events related role, experience with collectables, trading cards or TCG is preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and work effectively as part of a teamExcellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual merchandisingAbility to self-lead and work independentlyFlexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as requiredA positive, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitudeSuccessful applicants may be required to undergo a Police, Medical and/or Reference Checks.
