Hotel Receptionist
to join our team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This is a
casual position
offering flexibility and the opportunity to be the first point of contact for our guests. As Hotel Receptionist, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for hospitality excellence and directly contributes to guest satisfaction and loyalty.
What you'll be doing n
Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and providing check-in and check-out services in a professional and efficient manner
n
Managing room bookings, reservations and amendments using our property management system
n
Responding to guest enquiries and requests promptly, addressing concerns and resolving issues with courtesy and empathy
n
Processing payments, managing the cashier function and maintaining accurate financial records
n
Providing information about local attractions, dining options and hotel facilities to enhance the guest experience
n
Answering telephone calls and directing enquiries to the appropriate departments or staff members
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area at all times
n
Assisting with other front-of-house duties as required to support the broader hotel team
n
Ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety standards
What we're looking for n
Previous experience in a hospitality, hotel or customer service environment, or a demonstrable aptitude for guest-facing roles
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
n




Proficiency with computer systems and property management software; willingness to learn current technology
n
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
n
A positive, friendly demeanour with genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding customer service
n
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work casual shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
n
Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling financial transactions and guest information
n
Problem-solving ability and resilience when managing challenging guest situations
n
Current working rights in Australia and a valid form of identification
