Coffs Angels Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated
Support Worker
to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW. This is a
casual position
that offers flexibility whilst making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable members of our community. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to aged and disability support clients, helping them maintain independence, dignity and quality of life. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering person-centred support services that enable our clients to thrive.
Key responsibilities n
Provide personal care and assistance to clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing and toileting
n
Support clients with mobility and transferring, using appropriate protected handling techniques
n
Assist with meal preparation, shopping and other household tasks as needed
n
Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings and community activities
n
Maintain accurate and timely client records and documentation
n
Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, their families and other care team members
n
Monitor and report any changes in client health, wellbeing or behaviour to management
n
Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
n
Respect client privacy, dignity and independence in all interactions
n
Follow all relevant policies, procedures and safeguarding guidelines

A caring, patient and empathetic approach to client interactions
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider care team
n




Physical fitness and ability to assist with manual handling and mobility support
n
Reliability and commitment to maintaining consistent, quality care standards
n
Willingness to respect client choices, preferences and cultural backgrounds
Certificate III in Disability Support n
or equivalent qualification or training (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
First Aid and CPR certification n
or willingness to obtain it (preferred)
Current Working with Children Check n
or willingness to obtain one
A valid driver's licence n
preferred
