Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Bathurst on a full-time basis. This is an opportunity for a skilled machinist to work within a qualified production environment, contributing to precision manufacturing, quality outcomes and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with Production and Engineering teams in a collaborative workshop environment.
Responsibilities n
n
Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
n
Perform precision machining and milling operations.
n
Interpret engineering and technical drawings.
n
Complete precision measurements and quality inspections.
n
Select and manage appropriate tooling for machining operations.
n
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup and programme issues.
n
Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance.
n
Ensure finished components meet dimensional and quality specifications.
n
Maintain production efficiency and meet required delivery timeframes.
n




Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
n
Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and efficiency.
n
Maintain a strong focus on workplace health, safety and quality standards.
n
Your Profile n
n
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
n
Minimum 3 years' experience in a steel manufacturing environment or similar.
n
Strong CNC machining and milling experience.
n
Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
n
Strong understanding of precision measurement and machining principles.
n
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
n
Strong mathematical aptitude relevant to machining.
n
Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider production team.
n
Strong communication and organisational skills.
n
