Position Overview n
We're looking for experienced contract trainers to deliver high quality, engaging, and compliant training for our White Card course. The ideal candidate will bring a robust construction safety background, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine commitment to workplace safety and student success.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Deliver interactive and compliant training aligned with CPCWHS**** Prepare to work safely in the construction industry unit requirements.
n
Provide practical safety insights drawn from real world construction experience.
n
Conduct assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback to students.
n
Support student engagement and understanding, ensuring readiness for site work.
n
Maintain accurate training records, including attendance and assessments.
n
Collaborate with MBAV team members to continuously improve course delivery and student outcomes.
n
Qualifications and Experience n
n
Demonstrated vocational competency and significant industry experience in construction, with strong working knowledge of WHS/OHS practices.
n




Current knowledge of OHS legislation, industry standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to CPCWHS**** delivery in Victoria.
n
Current TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
n
Must hold a current White Card (CPCWHS****) or equivalent.
n
Ability to meet RTO and regulatory compliance requirements for delivery and assessment of CPCWHS****.
n
Demonstrated experience delivering CPCWHS**** (White Card) or similar WHS training (desirable).
n
A current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
Exceptional verbal communication and facilitation skills for diverse student groups.
n
Skills and Attributes n
n
Confident public speaking and group facilitation skills.
n
High level of professionalism and reliability.
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in record keeping.
n
Demonstrated proficiency in various information technology applications, especially the Microsoft Office suite of products.
n
Commitment to promoting a safety first culture in the construction industry.
n
Proven capability in initiating, cultivating, and sustaining relationships. Willingness and capability to motivate and empower individuals to reach learning outcomes

Additional Information n
n
This position is offered on a contract basis. Must be able to operate on a personal ABN.
n
Training may be delivered at MBAV facilities or on client sites
n
Sessions may be scheduled on weekdays, weekends, or evenings depending on demand.
