Responsibilities n
n
Inspect product for any quality issues that could affect the final appearance of the paint process.
n
Prepare parts for painting through inspection, surface prep., and surface cleaning with wax and grease remover.
n
Mix coatings with reducer and catalyst at correct mixtures, using color mixture equipment
n
Consistently apply primers/topcoat with gravity fed or pressure fed spray equipment
n
Apply all coats with spray equipment to meet coverage and gloss standards
n
Read and record dry paint thickness using a Mil Reader.
n
Must have the ability to correct errors in applications.
n
Maintain spray equipment to meet operational standards.
n
Maintain paint booth cleanliness and filter changes.
n
Ensure that any hazardous waste is handled and disposed of properly.
n
Know spill response procedures and evacuation plan.
n
Must keep the work area safe and clean to 5S standards.
