Raj's Copper Bowl, established in **** is a food and catering business located in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The company focuses on providing freshly prepared, home-style meals that offer customers a convenient and enjoyable dining experience.
About the Role n
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team on a full-time basis, working 38 hours per week at our Kalgoorlie premises.
Duties & Responsibilities as a Chef: n
n
Preparing for service and cooking dishes as per the menu and recipes provided.
n
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to order, ensuring that each dish meets high standards for flavour, quality, and authenticity.
n
Ensure the consistent execution of recipes, presentation, and portion control.
n
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to high standards of food quality and presentation.
n
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
n
Design,



cost and update menus that showcase dishes, incorporating fresh, locally sourced produce, meats, seafood, poultry and ingredients to ensure a burst of flavour in every bite.
n
Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work workplace.
n
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to meet financial targets.
n
Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
n
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure guests receive excellent service and enjoy their culinary experience.
n
Work closely with the management team to incorporate feedback and keep the menu aligned with guest preferences and seasonal ingredient availability.
n
Qualifications: n
n
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Relevant qualifications.
n
Skills and other requirements for the position: n
n
Have a minimum of 1-year full-time work experience as a chef.
n
Ability to work under pressure.
n
Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards.
n
Have knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety procedures.
n
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
n
Have a passion for cooking.
n
