Job Description
We are seeking an
experienced CNC Machine Operator
to join our production team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident operating CNC machinery, takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, and is comfortable providing day-to-day direction to another team member.

The successful applicant will operate a range of CNC equipment including a
CNC Router, CNC Laser Cutter and CNC Plasma Cutter
and will work closely with our Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently and on schedule.

nKey Responsibilities n

n
Set up and operate
CNC Router, CNC Laser and CNC Plasma Cutting machines
n
n
n
Read and interpret drawings, job specifications and production requirements
n
n
n
Load programs, set machine parameters and complete machine set-ups
n
n
n
Ensure components are produced accurately and to required tolerances
n
n
n
Check finished work for quality and accuracy
n
n
n
Monitor machine performance and identify or troubleshoot issues as required
n
n
n
Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work area
n
n
n
Plan and prioritize daily CNC work in accordance with the production schedule
n
n
n
Oversee and provide direction to one other staff member
working within the CNC area
n
n
n
Regularly communicate with the
Production Manager
regarding job progress, priorities, material requirements, delays or production issues
n
n
n
Minimize material waste and identify opportunities to improve production efficiency
n
n
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
n
n
n

To be successful in this position, you will need to have
previous CNC
machining/operating
experience
and be confident working independently.
n

We are looking for someone who:

Has proven experience operating CNC machinery
n
n
n
Ideally has experience with
CNC routers, laser cutters and/or plasma cutters
n
n
n
Can confidently read technical drawings and measurements
n
n
n
Has good mechanical and problem-solving skills
n
n
n
Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in the quality of their work
n
n
n
Is reliable, organized and able to manage production priorities
n
n
n
Is comfortable overseeing and assisting another staff member
n
n
n
Communicates well and can work closely with the Production Manager
n
n
n
Understands the importance of meeting production deadlines
n
n
n
Has a robust commitment to workplace safety
n
n
n
n
Experience with CNC programming, CAD/CAM software and machine troubleshooting would be
highly regarded
.

greater responsibility and ownership of the CNC production area
.

You will be trusted to manage the day-to-day operation of the CNC machines, coordinate work with another team member and maintain regular communication with the Production Manager to keep production running efficiently.
n

Previous CNC experience is essential.
