Job Description
As a part of the Aquatec Maxcon team, you'll join a group of passionate professionals who work safely, and responsibly to deliver world class solutions to exciting new projects. This role offers the chance to work in a diverse engineering department, facing challenges of designing and providing solutions that makea real difference to the water industry.
You will n
Plan and program the design process to ensure all stakeholders act in a timely manner and in accordance with the agreed schedule and budget
n
Review plant layout, mechanical, structural and piping drawings to ensure high quality deliverables forproposals and delivery for applications, upgrade and creation of client's water and wastewater assets, with a particular focus on water and waste water treatment plants.

Work on challenging projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering "ingenuity in design"
n
Manage scheduling of work, priorities, resource requirementsacross multiple offices both local and internationally based
n
Provide quality assurance and design engineering sign off and approve drawings from the points of view of; technical completeness, clarity, conformance with standards, dimensional accuracy and the correct specification of materials.

Ensure the deliverables and associated documentation are presented in a clear and concise package to enable ease of detailing and fabrication.

Engage in risk assessments and actively participate in safety reviews and HAZOPs and safety in design
n
Manage a team of drafting and documentation experts
n
Delivery drafting outputs in a timely manner
Applicants will ideally have n
Experience in leading and managing technical/project teams and working on multi-disciplinary projects
n
Tertiary qualifications in either Structural/Civil or Mechanical Drafting
n
Minimum of 5 years Australian design engineering experience
n
Experience in driving continuous improvements in digital drafting operations
n
A knowledge of major Australian Standards for design of steel structures.
n
Previous experience working in treatment plant design
n
Working with water and waste water treatment projects and government municipalities will be well regarded
n
Ability to occasionally travel to off-shore design offices
n
