M.F.E. Services Pty Ltd is seeking an Apprentice Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our wet fire team in Murarrie, Brisbane.
This is a rare opportunity to enter a specialised trade and build a long-term career in fire protection while working towards the CPC***** Certificate III in Fire Protection.
We are looking for someone who is keen to work, willing to learn and good to have around.
Previous fire industry or trade experience is definitely a bonus, but it is not the most important thing.
We are happy to teach the right person and support them to build their skills and knowledge over time.
We would much rather employ someone with little or no experience who has a good attitude and genuinely wants to learn than someone with industry experience who is unwilling to work as part of a team.
What you will learn
Working alongside experienced technicians, you will gain practical experience with:
Fire sprinklers, pumps and water storage tanks
Hydrants and hose reels
Fire suppression systems
Routine maintenance testing and compliance servicing
Service, repairs and rectification works
New fire-system installations and upgrades
Safe use of tools, site procedures and quality workmanship
About you
The right person will be:
Reliable, punctual and willing to work
Positive, respectful and approachable

Genuinely willing to learn and have a go at new tasks
Comfortable working as part of a team
Able to listen to instructions and take feedback
Proud of their work and motivated to improve
Safety conscious and willing to do things properly
A positive communicator and generally good to have around
A current driver licence is required.
Experience in fire protection, sprinklers, pumps, tanks, extinguishers or another trade is preferred but not essential.
What we offer
A genuine full-time apprenticeship opportunity
Practical, supervised training and mentoring from experienced wet fire technicians
Broad exposure to a specialised and essential trade
Award wages and entitlements under the applicable apprenticeship arrangements
Company vehicle and mobile phone, subject to role requirements and company policy
A supportive, team-focused workplace
Appointment is subject to satisfactory interview, reference, work-right and licence checks, and eligibility to enter into a registered apprenticeship training contract.
Applications will be reviewed as received.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview during the week commencing 19 October ****.
