Job Description
Senior Associate (Family Lawyer) – Close-Knit, No-Nonsense Northern Suburbs Firm n
$155,000 – $205,000 including superannuation
n
Genuine succession path in a close-knit, down-to-earth team
n
Supportive workplace culture with weekly catchups and open-door mentoring
n
BD support included – mentoring, content ideas, warm intros, real guidance.
n
If you want a corner office with a view of the city skyline and a 17-tier reporting structure... this isn't it.
n
But if you're the kind of lawyer who wants interesting clients, complex work, and a real shot at succession then this might be for you.
n
This is a close-knit practice in Melbourne's north, run by smart people who back their team and value valuable character as much as clever brains. They've got 3 Principals and a growing client base walking through the door every day for family law, wills & estates, and conveyancing.
n
They're looking for a Family Lawyer with at least 5 years' PAE. Someone who likes solving problems,

not creating drama. Someone who doesn't need handholding but knows the value of a strong, collaborative team.
n
You'll work across a broad mix of property and parenting matters. Want to build your BD muscle? Even better. You won't be left to figure it out on your own – you'll be actively supported with guidance, mentoring, and practical opportunities. Think coffee catchups, co-hosted webinars, LinkedIn content that actually lands, all backed by a team that knows how to open doors and build profile.
n
They value a steady attitude, a learning mindset, and a bit of initiative. Accredited Specialisation on your radar? Even better. They'll back you with support from accredited partners.
n
This is one of those rare roles where you can grow, be mentored, and actually enjoy turning up to work each day.
