We're looking for an experienced fabricator who knows their trade, takes pride in their work and is the sort of person others naturally turn to when something needs sorting out.
n
If you're a strong fabricator who can read drawings, organise your work, spot problems before they become problems and help keep a workshop moving, we'd like to hear from you.
n
This is still very much a hands-on role. You'll be welding and fabricating alongside the team, but you'll also help oversee jobs, check quality and keep things moving in the right direction.
What you'll be doing n
n
Welding and fabricating as part of the day-to-day workload
n
Reading and working from fabrication drawings
n
Helping organise workflow and job priorities
n
Checking completed work and maintaining quality
n
Keeping jobs moving and helping the team stay on schedule
n
Supporting and guiding other fabricators
n
Working closely with management on day-to-day workshop production
n
Who we're looking for n
You'll ideally be someone who:
n

Is an experienced and confident fabricator/welder
n
Takes pride in producing quality work
n
Can work things out without needing to be constantly supervised
n
Notices mistake before they cost time and money
n
Is organised and understands workshop efficiency
n
Is reliable and turns up ready to work
n
Can communicate with the crew
n
Is happy to lead from the floor and still get their hands dirty
n
n
Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience is great, but we're also very interested in experienced fabricators who are ready to step up.
