Our client is looking for Civil/Structural Engineers who have a
n minimum of 6 -7 years' experience in structural
n design ideally in consulting environment. Your technical experience is
n important, but we are also looking for individuals who can contribute to a
n positive company culture and a vibrant office environment!

On behalf of our
n client, we are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer who will be expected to conduct structural
n design; complete and review analysis and design calculations; execute and
n manage the preparation of drawings and specifications; assist with mentoring of
n junior staff; manage project budgets and schedules; interact with clients; and
n prepare technical reports.
n
n
Some of the duties assigned to (but not limited to) this role
n include.
n
n
· Implement
n design or analysis tasks in accordance with building code requirements.
n
n
· Manage
n major and minor design work from beginning to end.
n
n
· Direct
n the preparation of calculations, design drawings and specifications, and
n perform construction administration tasks.
n
n
· Supervise
n the work of other engineers and CAD technicians. Support work tasks in a team
n environment and help mentor and develop less experienced engineers.
n
n
· Assist
n with proposal preparation. Prepare project work plans including tasks, staff
n time, and fee budgets. Control project fee budgets.
n
n
Requirementsn
· Minimum
n of 6 -7 years' experience in structural design ideally in a consulting
n environment. Proficiency with behavior
n and performance of materials, especially steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber,
n and masonry.
n
n
· BEng
n in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
n
n
· Chartered




n Engineer status or close to completion.
n
n
· Written
n and spoken English proficiency.
n
n
· Proficient
n in writing and editing project specifications and technical reports.
n
n
· Strong
n written and oral communication skills.
n
n
· Demonstrated
n ability to meet deadlines.
n
n
· Ability
n to work in a team environment.
n
n
· Work
n collaboratively on multiple solutions for clients and objectively summarize the
n advantages and shortfalls of each.
n
n
· Proficient
n in the use of computer analysis software (e.g., SpaceGass, Strand7 or similar
n programs).
n
n
· Ability
n to work in and review work in AutoCAD.
n
n
· Proficient
n in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office suite software
n
n
