electrical, automation and industrial services company
based in Melbourne South, delivering automation and control solutions to a range of industrial manufacturing businesses across Melbourne.

Working with
local, national and global FMCG brands
, the company delivers PLC upgrades, automation projects, control panel builds, systems integration and ongoing technical support across a variety of manufacturing environments.
n
Due to continued growth and project requirements, they are seeking an experienced
Automation Engineer
to join their team on a
full-time permanent basis
.
About the Role n
This is a hands-on position working across a variety of client sites, primarily throughout
Melbourne's South-East
, with occasional travel to the North-West.
n
You will be involved in the design, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting and ongoing support of industrial automation and control systems.
n
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a client-facing environment and be comfortable troubleshooting and delivering practical automation solutions within manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities n
n
PLC programming, upgrades and modifications
n
HMI programming and configuration
n
Automation and control system design
n
PLC upgrades and automation improvement projects
n
Control panel design and development
n
Electrical design using AutoCAD or similar software
n
Industrial network configuration and troubleshooting
n
Systems integration and commissioning
n
Fault finding and troubleshooting of automation systems
n
Providing technical support at client sites
n
Working closely with clients, engineers, electricians and production teams
n
Preparing technical documentation and project information
n
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with safety, quality and client requirements
n
About You n
We are looking for an experienced




Automation Engineer
with a robust background in industrial automation and control systems.
Essential Skills & Experience n
n
Proven experience in
PLC programming
n
Strong experience with
Allen-Bradley, Siemens and/or Omron PLCs
n
Proficient in
HMI programming
n
Proven experience in automation and control system design
n
Experience with
industrial networks and systems integration
n
Experience working within a
systems integrator, OEM or end-user environment
n
Proficient in
AutoCAD or similar electrical design software
n
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Strong commitment to
safety, quality and teamwork
n
Current or willingness to obtain a
Police Check
n
Desirable n
n
FMCG experience
highly advantageous
n
Manufacturing automation experience will also be considered
n
Ignition SCADA
experience
n
A-Grade Electrical Licence
n
Control panel design experience
n
Experience with automation commissioning
n
