TVH is looking for an experienced
Collections Officer
to join our Finance team in Melbourne.
n
Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts. This is a hands-on role where accuracy matters — from allocating payments and reconciling accounts to following up overdue debt and resolving invoice queries.
n
You'll be trusted to manage your workload independently, while working closely with the team to deliver accurate and timely outcomes.

What you'll be doing
n

Following up outstanding and overdue accounts by
phone and email
n
Building professional relationships with customer Accounts Payable teams
n
Allocating customer payments, receipts and credits accurately
n
Reconciling customer accounts and investigating discrepancies
n
Resolving invoice and payment queries
n
Preparing and issuing customer statements
n
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records
n
Monitoring debtor balances and escalating risks when required
n
Working with internal teams to resolve issues and keep accounts moving
n
Using Excel to manage, analyse and reconcile financial information
n
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
n

What you'll bring
n
We're looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail and following things through.
n
n
3+ years' experience
in Accounts Receivable, Collections or Credit Control
n
Strong Excel Capability
— you'll be comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data, not just basic data entry
n
Robust numerical capability and
high attention to detail
n
Confidence to
pick up the phone
and have professional conversations about outstanding payments
n
Experience reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
n
Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
Clear, professional written and verbal communication
n
A proactive approach — you won't wait for an overdue account or discrepancy to resolve itself
n
A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute within a
small team environment
