About the Role
n
The Louise is seeking a passionate casual Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Set among the vines, The Louise offers guests a refined regional dining experience built around exceptional local produce and some of Australia's finest wines.
n
Working closely with our Chefs, you will support daily kitchen operations across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, preparing dishes to a consistently high standard. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your skills in a luxury setting where seasonal, locally sourced ingredients are at the centre of every menu.

Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Preparing ingredients and assisting with mise en place for each service
n
Cooking and plating dishes to recipe and presentation standards
n
Supporting senior chefs across all sections of the kitchen as required
n
Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times
n
Receiving, storing and rotating stock correctly
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen setting
n
Contributing ideas and learning from the team as menus evolve with the seasons
n
n
About You
n
You are a passionate and motivated Commis Chef who loves working with quality produce and takes pride in every plate.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Experience as a Commis Chef ideally in a fine dining,



hotel or premium restaurant environment
n
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (completed or in progress) highly regarded
n
Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
n
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
n
A positive, team-focused attitude
n
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
n
Current Australian working rights
n
