We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Senior Accounts Payable Officer
to join a well-established organisation on a 3-month temporary assignment. This role will see you supporting a high-volume Accounts Payable function, acting as a key point of escalation for complex AP matters and providing technical expertise across the wider finance team. Based in Richmond, the role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

nThe Opportunity n

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable function while supporting stakeholders with complex queries, escalations, and process improvement initiatives.
n

Working within a fast-paced finance environment, you will utilise your strong AP knowledge to resolve issues, maintain supplier relationships, and contribute to the ongoing efficiency of the function.

nKey Responsibilities n
n

n
Manage complex Accounts Payable queries and escalations
n
n
Process invoices and payments accurately and efficiently within a high-volume environment
n
n
Investigate and resolve supplier account discrepancies and payment issues
n
n
Support vendor onboarding and supplier maintenance activities
n
n
Act as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable-related matters
n
n
Assist with payment runs, reconciliations, and month-end activities
n
n
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries promptly
n
n




Ensure data accuracy and maintain strong financial controls across the AP function
n
n
Assist with process improvement initiatives and workflow enhancements
n
n
Support reporting requirements as required
n
n
Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing finance team
n
n

nAbout You n
n
n
n
Previous experience in a Senior Accounts Payable Officer or similar role
n
n
Strong end-to-end Accounts Payable knowledge
n
n
Experience working within a high-volume processing environment
n
n
Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex AP issues independently
n
n
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
n
n
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
n
n
High attention to detail and accuracy
n
n
Strong systems aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new technology
n
n
Experience with SAP and/or Esker will be highly regarded
n
n
Manufacturing, retail, FMCG, or large corporate environment experience will be viewed favourably
n
