About the Role n
As a Field Mechanic at Savanna Energy, you'll provide hands-on mechanical support across our rigs, camps, and maintenance teams. You'll inspect, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure it runs safely and reliably. This is a great role for someone with a mechanical trade qualification who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and being part of a hands-on, safety-focused team.
Key Responsibilities n

Perform daily mechanical maintenance and repairs on rig and camp equipment
n
Operate tools and equipment safely,



following company and client procedures
n
Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance, documenting all work
n
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
n
Inspect, service, and repair machinery to maintain reliable performance
n
Maintain tools, spare parts, and workshop or field inventory
n
Follow all legislative, licensing, and company safety requirements
n
Update the preventative maintenance system dailyAssist with any additional duties as directed by your supervisor
n
About You n
n
Qualified Mechanic with practical field experience (highly regarded)
n
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry (highly regarded)
n
Comfortable working outdoors and in remote locations
n
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
n
Able to follow instructions, work safely, and pay attention to detail
n
Knowledge of workplace health and safety and quality assurance
n
Current C class drivers licence, HR driver's licence (highly regarded)
n
Experience with CMMS or willingness to learn
n
