The Opportunity
n
n
Reporting to the Engineering & Production Manager, this is a standalone, site-wide maintenance role where you will take full ownership of production equipment reliability within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
n
n
This role suits a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys autonomy, accountability and being the go-to technical expert on site.
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
n
n
Perform planned, preventative and emergency maintenance
n
n
Maintain and improve equipment reliability across: Autoclaves, filling labelling and printing machines, sterilisation equipment, ovens and mixers.
n
n
Diagnose PLC faults
n
n
Coordinate external electricians and specialist contractors when required
n
n
Manage spare parts sourcing, purchasing and inventory (including imported components)
n
n
Use MEX Maintenance Software to plan and document all activities
n
n
Ensure strict adherence to GMP and sterile manufacturing standards
n
n
Maintain accurate records and reporting
n
n
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
Essential:
n
n
n
n




5+ years overall technical experience
n
n
2–3+ years hands-on experience in a GMP environment
n
n
Strong mechanical maintenance background
n
n
Experience in food, pharmaceutical, packaging or sterile manufacturing
n
n
Ability to fault-find, read manuals and interpret schematics
n
n
Comfortable working independently as the sole site maintenance specialist
n
n
n
n
Highly Regarded:
n
n
n
n
Trade qualification (Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Fitter or similar)
n
n
Experience with autoclaves, sterilisation or pharma packing equipment
n
n
Parts fabrication / machining capability
n
n
Exposure to maintenance systems (MEX or similar)
n
n
n
n
