Q and O Plumbing is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated
1st or 2nd year Apprentice Plumber
to join our team in Geelong, VIC. This is a
full-time position
that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your plumbing skills whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an apprentice, you will gain practical hands-on experience across a variety of plumbing projects, from residential to commercial installations, whilst completing your formal training. This role is fundamental to your development as a qualified tradesperson and will provide you with the foundation for a rewarding career in the plumbing industry.
Key responsibilities n
Assisting experienced plumbers on job sites with the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems
n
Learning and applying fundamental plumbing techniques including pipework, fitting installation and system connections
n
Preparing job sites, gathering materials and tools required for plumbing work
n
Following health and safety regulations and best practices on all work sites
n
Completing assigned training modules and coursework as part of your apprenticeship programme
n
Maintaining accurate records of work completed and time spent on projects
n
Assisting with basic maintenance tasks, cleaning and organisation of tools and equipment
n
Communicating effectively with supervisors and senior tradespeople to understand project requirements
n
Developing knowledge of plumbing codes, standards and regulations relevant to Victoria
What we're looking for n
Currently enrolled in or recently commenced a plumbing apprenticeship (1st year preferred)
n
Valid apprenticeship contract or commitment to undertaking formal plumbing training
n
Strong work ethic and genuine enthusiasm for learning the plumbing trade
n
Reliable, punctual and skilled attitude towards work
n




Ability to follow instructions and work safely on construction and maintenance sites
n
Positive communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, lifting and working at heights
n
Current or willingness to obtain a valid driver's licence
n
A willingness to develop knowledge of health and safety practices in the trades
n
No formal plumbing qualifications required – we value attitude and commitment to learning
