We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Distribution Operations to lead our national distribution network and play a key role in shaping the future of our operations.

This strategically important leadership role is responsible for the performance, optimisation and transformation of our national distribution network. Leading a team of Distribution Managers and Continuous Improvement professionals, you will drive safety, service, productivity and customer outcomes across multiple sites nationwide.
n
This opportunity is ideally suited to a senior operations leader with a strong track record in operational excellence, combined with experience delivering strategic initiatives, network optimisation and large-scale transformation programs.
n
This role can be located in QLD, NSW or VIC
What you'll be doing n
n
Leading the performance of Blackwoods' national distribution network to achieve safety, service, productivity, inventory and financial targets
n
Executing distribution strategy and network optimisation initiatives to support future business growth
n
Driving continuous improvement programs, operational standardisation and Lean methodologies across the network
n
Leading major transformation projects, including automation, systems enhancements and capital investment initiatives
n
Building and developing high-performing teams through coaching, succession planning and talent development
n
Partnering closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement,



Customer Service and Technology teams to improve end-to-end customer outcomes
n
Supporting the growth of customer supply chain solutions and value-added service offerings
n
Championing a strong safety culture and ensuring all operations are conducted safely and responsibly
n
About you n
You are an accomplished operations leader with significant experience managing complex distribution, fulfilment, supply chain or logistics environments. You understand how to balance operational execution with strategic thinking and have a proven track record of delivering business performance through people, projects and technology.
We're looking for someone who: n

Has extensive leadership experience within distribution, logistics, fulfilment or large-scale multi site operational environments
n
Has successfully led medium - large operational teams through change, transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Brings strong commercial acumen and can confidently manage budgets, performance metrics and business outcomes
n
Has experience delivering major projects such as automation, systems implementations or operational optimisation programs
n




Builds credibility through solid stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
n
Leads with humility, accountability and a people-first mindset
n
Is passionate about developing high-performing teams and creating strong succession pipelines
n
