Workshop Manager & Technical Trainer - PNG BASED (AC****) n

A large transport and logistics organisation operating across Papua New Guinea is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager / Technical Trainer to lead workshop operations and support the ongoing development of technical personnel across its heavy vehicle fleet.
n
This position is ideally suited to a strong workshop leader with extensive heavy vehicle experience who enjoys mentoring teams, improving systems and driving workshop performance rather than remaining purely on the tools.
n
Working closely with operational teams and senior management, you will oversee workshop productivity, maintenance quality, fleet reliability and technical training initiatives across the business.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading workshop operations and supporting regional maintenance activities
n
Mentoring workshop staff, supervisors and trades personnel
n
Delivering technical guidance and troubleshooting support across the fleet
n
Developing training programs and improving technical capability within workshop teams
n




Monitoring preventative maintenance schedules and workshop performance
n
Supporting workshop systems, reporting processes and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Promoting safe maintenance practices and operational discipline
n
n
The ideal candidate will possess:
n
n
Extensive experience in heavy vehicle workshop management or senior workshop supervision
n
Strong technical knowledge across heavy vehicle diagnostics and maintenance
n
Experience working with Kenworth and Cummins equipment
n
Proven leadership and mentoring capability within workshop environments
n
Robust organisational and communication skills
n
Experience within transport, logistics or freight operations
n
n
