The Town of East Fremantle is seeing to appoint a suitably qualified engineer or project manager who can lead and proactively drive the delivery of the Town's capital works program.
The Project and Contract Lead will ensure that contracted service outcomes are met, continually monitoring the progress of works through established governance systems to deliver the Town's capital works program, while at the same time applying continuous improvements in procurement, project management and contract governance.

About the position
Capital Project Delivery
You will lead and coordinate the planning and delivery of the Town's capital works program and assigned projects, including:
project management
procurement activities
contract preparation,
grant applications and acquittals
Contract Management & Performance Oversight
Administer and oversee assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, service standards, governance requirements and Town procedures.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement




Act as the primary point of contact for community enquiries relating specifically to capital and Operational Projects.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
Previous demonstrated experience in delivering capital works, infrastructure, maintenance or service contracts.
Possess a high level of analytical and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands.
Possess exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports and recommendations, provide qualified advice, and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Possess knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and governance frameworks, including the Local Government Act and contract governance frameworks including recordkeeping, transparency and probity requirements.
