Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of sustaining capital projects within the resources sector. This role offers the prospect to work alongside experienced engineering and project delivery teams, contributing to projects from concept through to execution while gaining exposure to a diverse range of mining operations.
Based in Perth, this position is suited to an engineer with around 2-5 years of industry experience who is looking to further develop their project management and stakeholder engagement skills within a leading engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of sustaining capital projects
- Support project planning, scheduling, cost tracking and reporting activities
- Liaise with engineering, drafting, procurement and construction stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and assist with risk and change management processes
- Ensure work is delivered in accordance with client standards and project requirements
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical and commercial outcomes
- Undertake occasional site visits as required
About You
- Degree qualified in Engineering
- Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience within the mining sector
- Exposure to engineering or project delivery environments
- Understanding of project lifecycle principles and execution methodologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with major mining company systems and procedures will be highly regarded
- Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
