This is an opportunity for an accomplished finance leader to take ownership of a critical business function, influence strategic decisions and build a high-performing team.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, you’ll lead a team across financial control, reporting and transactional finance, while driving budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and continuous improvement. You’ll provide the commercial insight and financial leadership to shape organisational strategy, strengthen performance, and support long-term sustainability.

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Services, executive leadership team and external stakeholders, you’ll balance strategic thinking with sound financial governance, risk management and compliance. You’ll also step into the Head of Corporate Services’ responsibilities when required, bringing the judgement, credibility and confidence expected at this level.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who knows that great finance functions do more than report the numbers — they help the business make better decisions.

Based in Gladstone, you’ll work alongside the core team and contribute to an organisation with a strong connection to its local community. Supporting local talent is important, and a Gladstone-based appointment is preferred.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

- Significant experience in senior financial leadership, with the capability to operate at an executive level and step into the Head of Corporate Services' role when required.
- Robust management accounting, commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning expertise.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting, Australian Accounting Standards, governance, compliance and risk management.
- A proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams while establishing clear direction, accountability and performance standards.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence senior decision-makers and make complex financial matters accessible.
- A track record of improving processes, strengthening financial performance and enabling better business decisions.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance, together with CA or CPA accreditation.
