Are you ready to take the next step in your career? If you are passionate about systems, processes and people - and bring a practical problem-solving mindset, a sharp eye for detail and the drive to make a real impact - this could be the opportunity for you.
E.L. Blue is seeking an experienced HR Systems Coordinator to help keep critical HR, workforce management and payroll systems running accurately and efficiently for an innovative not-for-profit client in the aged care sector.
About E.L. Blue
E.L. Blue stands at the forefront of Human Resources outsourcing in Australia, serving clients across diverse industries, including manufacturing, construction, biotech, and services. We're not just a company; we're a community of forward-thinkers shaping the future of HR.
The opportunity
Reporting to the HR Systems Lead, you will play a key role in the administration, implementation and continuous improvement of HR systems across multiple sites. You will collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, site administrators and external partners to improve processes and support the successful automation of HR functions.
This is a hands-on systems and project role for someone who can work independently, take ownership of tasks from start to finish and produce accurate, complete work. You will need the confidence to investigate issues, think beyond the obvious solution, identify root causes and elevate risks before they affect employees, payroll or project delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor and assist with the implementation of HR systems, including time and attendance and payroll platforms.
- Manage assigned systems and project tasks from initial clarification through to checking, completion, handover and close-out.
- Liaise with our in-house consultant and third-party vendors on system configuration, exports, enhancements and troubleshooting.
- Help ensure system rules and configurations accurately reflect award conditions, policies, approved business requirements and supporting documentation.
- Prepare, validate and reconcile employee, payroll, award, qualification and configuration data before upload or submission.
- Support rollout plans, user acceptance testing, parallel payroll testing, communications,
and change management.
- Record test results and evidence, identify discrepancies, and log and elevate issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain process guides, checklists, action trackers and training materials for internal users.
- Maintain HR data integrity and support the accurate, compliant operation of onboarding, award application, reporting and other key processes.
- Investigate system, process and data issues, identify root causes and recommend practical improvements that reduce risk and avoidable rework.
What success looks like
You take ownership of assigned work and manage tasks through to completion by agreed deadlines.
You produce accurate and complete work, using available instructions, approved source data, system values and completed examples to support quality outcomes.
You use sound judgement to identify when something may not be right, investigate the issue and seek guidance or elevate when appropriate.
You organise competing priorities using clear plans, trackers and agreed checkpoints.
You respond positively to feedback and apply your learning to future tasks.
You build positive working relationships while following agreed processes, controls and standards.
Experience and Skills
- Ideally two to four years' experience in HR systems coordination or a similar role.
- Experience providing administration or coordination support across HR, payroll, workforce management, systems or another data-focused environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup formulas, filters, data validation and reconciliations, with confidence working with large and detailed datasets.
- A careful and organised approach, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Practical analytical and problem-solving skills,
including the ability to explore different options and identify the underlying cause of an issue.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion while collaborating with the wider team.
- Confidence in using digital systems and an interest in learning new platforms and processes.
- Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.
- A solutions-focused mindset, willingness to learn and a positive approach to new challenges.
- Proficiency across Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams and Share Point.
Highly regarded
- Experience with Humanforce or another workforce management or payroll platform.
- Experience supporting UAT, parallel payroll, system implementations, integrations or data migration.
- Exposure to award or enterprise agreement interpretation and payroll configuration.
- Experience working in aged care, health care or another multi-site workplace.
