An exciting opportunity exists for a Jetty Operations Manager (Jetty Controller) to lead the secure, efficient, and compliant operation of our Geelong Jetty, a critical asset supporting import and export activities for the Geelong Refinery and broader supply chain.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing a newly established jetty operations team, fostering a strong safety culture, and driving operational excellence across one of Australia's most significant energy infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities /n

Based at the Geelong Jetty in Corio , adjacent to the Geelong Refinery, you will lead a team of 15 employees and oversee daily operations across four berths, managing vessel loading and discharge activities from ship to shore through to refinery tanks and pipeline systems.

You will work closely with refinery operations, maintenance and asset teams, port authorities, shipping operators, and third-party stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient marine operations while continuously improving business performance.

As the Jetty Operations Manager, you will:

/n

- Lead and manage all aspects of jetty operations, including import and export activities across four berths.

/n

- Ensure the protected and efficient loading and discharge of tankers from ship to shore systems and refinery infrastructure.

/n

- Coordinate vessel scheduling and operational activities with Geelong Port, shipping agents,



and other jetty users.

/n

- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Jetty Shift Leaders and Wharf Attendants.

/n

- Drive a strong Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) culture across all activities.

/n

- Ensure compliance with refinery management systems, marine terminal operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.

/n

- Support refinery maintenance and asset teams to safely execute maintenance activities on Viva Energy-owned jetty infrastructure.

/n

- Optimise vessel turnaround times and loading/discharge plans to minimise demurrage and maximise operational efficiency.

/n

- Support emergency response activities and provide specialist jetty expertise during incident management events.

/n

- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marine, and Refinery Operations teams to standardise best practices and improve operational performance.

/n

- Coach and support Shore Officers in supervising ship-to-shore transfer operations and maintaining ongoing compliance requirements.
