The Opportunity As Head of Learning Support, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening inclusive education across Prep to Year 12.

Working alongside school leadership, teaching staff and specialist professionals, you will guide the development of effective learning support strategies, champion individual student needs and create a collaborative approach to student achievement.

This position combines strategic leadership, team development and hands-on educational expertise, offering the opportunity to influence both student outcomes and whole-school teaching practices.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead, inspire and develop a team of Learning Support Teachers and Integration Aides.
- Drive effective learning support strategies and personalised learning pathways across P–12.
- Oversee Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), NCCD requirements and appropriate student adjustments.
- Coordinate targeted interventions that strengthen student engagement, literacy, numeracy and learning outcomes.
- Provide leadership across Gifted and Talented and English as an Additional Language (EAL) support programs.
- Partner with senior school leaders to coordinate special examination arrangements.




- Support classroom teachers through career development, coaching and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, allied health professionals and the wider school community.
- Use student progress data to evaluate programs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

To be successful, you'll bring:

- Demonstrated leadership experience within Learning Support, Inclusive Education or a similar specialist education setting.
- Strong understanding of NCCD, individual learning adjustments and inclusive education practices.
- Experience coordinating or leading specialist education teams.
- Knowledge of supporting students with diverse learning needs, including neurodiversity, gifted education and EAL.
- The ability to influence, mentor and build capability across teaching teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership style.
- Current VIT registration.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Special or Inclusive Education, or equivalent qualifications.
- Australian working rights.
