About the Role:

We are seeking a General Psychiatry Registrar for a locum placement at a major public general hospital in Mount Nasura, WA. This contract runs from 3 August to 1 November 2026. You will join a hospital of approximately 270 beds that serves as a secondary and regional referral centre for Perth's growing south-eastern corridor and surrounding communities, gaining broad clinical exposure across acute, inpatient and outpatient mental health settings within a robust multidisciplinary environment.

- Assess and manage general adult psychiatry presentations across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide clinical care across a broad range of acute and complex mental health presentations
- Participate in ward rounds, case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing and allied health teams
- Contribute to risk assessment, treatment planning and discharge coordination
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

About You:

- AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
- Currently practising at Registrar level in Psychiatry
- Confident managing a broad range of acute mental health presentations
- Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Eligible to work in Australia
