A large organisation in Melbourne’s northern suburbs is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join its finance team on a 6-month temporary contract. The business is bedding down a new SAP S/4HANA environment, and this is a chance to join at an important time. If the right person comes along, the team would like to keep them on beyond the initial term.

The role is based on-site in Thomastown, five days a week, and the start date is immediate.

The Role
You’ll manage end-to-end accounts payable across a number of business units and entities. The focus is on accuracy, volume and process rather than relationship management, so you won’t be dealing directly with suppliers, contractors or subcontractors. Your work will include:

- Processing supplier invoices through CIM (Central Invoice Management), SAP’s OCR and invoice management module
- Creating and maintaining suppliers in SAP S/4HANA
- Tracking invoices through to payment, and keeping on top of what has and hasn’t been paid
- Working in Zidello, a second AP platform used alongside SAP
- Keeping up with a high volume of transactions across multiple entities

The Team
You’ll join a small, close-knit AP team working side by side in the Thomastown office. With a handful of colleagues sharing the workload,



everyone pitches in, shares what they know and helps the team through busy periods. The team is working through a period of system change, so they’d value someone who is collaborative, approachable and happy to share tips as they go.

About You

- Solid end-to-end Accounts Payable experience, ideally across more than one entity or business unit
- Exposure to SAP is highly regarded, and S/4HANA is a bonus, though training will be provided on both SAP and Zidello
- A systems-minded approach: you pick up new platforms quickly and care about getting the detail right
- Motivated, reliable and keen to prove yourself in a team that values trust
- A genuine team player who is open, friendly and happy to share knowledge, and who will fit in well with a small team in the office five days a week
- Available to start immediately and able to be on-site in Thomastown five days a week
