St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace is a Catholic Day School in the Edmund Rice tradition for young men in Years 5 to 12. We have a commitment to the formation of 'Gentlemen of Terrace' to be young men of faith and learning who will make a difference through knowledge, humility and wisdom.

The college has an enrolment of 1900 boys and a staff of approximately 240.

Applications are invited for the role of Careers Counsellor, commencing in January 2027.

The Careers Counsellor is a member of the College Studies Team and assists students in knowing and understanding their educational journey and how it provides a pathway to life after school. The Careers Counsellor provides relevant presentations, resources and advice to students and parents ensuring they are fully aware of options available to them. The Careers Counsellor works closely with both the academic and pastoral teams to ensure that students receive relevant up to date advice and guidance.

Teaching duties are not included in this role.

We are seeking someone in this role who:

- Has a current working knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire a working knowledge of Student career opportunities and pathways.

- Holds relevant skilled tertiary qualifications and is eligible for membership with the Queensland Guidance and Counselling Association.

- Relevant experience in line with the responsibilities of the role.
