Our client is a leading organisation within the telecommunications sector, supporting critical network infrastructure across regional New South Wales.
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Field Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, a company vehicle and fuel card, and the opportunity to work across a diverse range of telecommunications technologies. The role will service the Southern Highlands and Cooma regions, supporting both network infrastructure and customer installations.

Your new role
As a Senior Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and fault-finding of telecommunications network infrastructure across a broad range of technologies.
Your duties will include:

- Installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications services
- Service activation and service assurance activities
- Investigating and resolving complex technical faults and escalations
- Network maintenance and quality inspections
- Customer premise installations and fault rectification
- Fibre, copper and HFC network troubleshooting
- Network upgrades, maintenance and support activities
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards
- Providing exceptional customer service and technical support in the field

The role will require regular travel throughout the Southern Highlands and Cooma regions. The position involves working across technologies including fibre, copper, HFC,



fixed wireless and satellite networks.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Cert III or Cert IV in Telecommunications
- Current ACMA Cabling Licence
- Current Australian Driving Licence
- Demonstrated experience working within telecommunications field operations
- Experience with fibre, copper, HFC or telecommunications network infrastructure
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- Full Australian working rights
