About Sazerac
Build your career at Sazerac – with almost 400 years of rich history, Sazerac has thrived as an independent, family-owned global company. Sazerac produces and markets the most award-winning bourbons and whiskeys in the world, including Buffalo Trace, Pappy Van Winkle, Eagle Rare, Blantons, Traveller, and Sazerac Rye. Additionally, Sazerac owns many popular brands across a range of spirits, including Fireball and Southern Comfort.
The Prospect
At Sazerac, we're building some of the world's most recognised spirits brands, from Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare to Fireball and Southern Comfort.
We're looking for a Commercial Analyst who can look beyond the numbers, understand what's driving business performance, and help turn that insight into action.
Working across our APAC region, you'll partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to help the business make smarter commercial decisions. From understanding customer and brand profitability to evaluating pricing, promotions and investment, your work will help identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve margins and make better use of our resources.
If you enjoy getting into the detail but also want to understand the bigger commercial picture, this could be a great next step.
What you'll be doing
- Uncover commercial opportunities: Analyse brand, customer and channel performance to understand what's driving revenue, margins and profitability, and recommend where we can do better.
- Partner with the business: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance across APAC, turning complex data into clear insights that help teams make informed decisions.
- Evaluate pricing and investment: Assess promotions, trade spend, marketing investment, distribution and sales performance to understand what's working and where we can improve returns.
- Support planning and performance: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, business cases and regular performance reviews, highlighting risks,
opportunities and key business drivers.
- Find better ways of working: Analyse costs across freight, COGS and overheads, while improving reporting, tools and processes to help the business work more effectively.
What we're looking for
We're interested in someone who combines strong analytical skills with commercial curiosity who wants to understand why the numbers look the way they do, not just report on them.
You'll ideally bring:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A;, commercial analytics, revenue management or a similar analytical role.
- Experience working with P&L;, business performance and financial or commercial data, with the ability to turn analysis into practical recommendations.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting and visualisation tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the confidence to work across different teams and influence decisions through data.
Experience across APAC markets, including distributor and direct route-to-market models, is important for this role. Experience in liquor, FMCG or another consumer-facing business, particularly across pricing, trade spend or revenue growth management, would be a real advantage.
This is an opportunity to work across a regional business, build relationships beyond Finance and see how your analysis contributes to real commercial decisions.
Some of the great things about working at Sazerac:
- Work with a genuinely awesome bunch of like-minded people who make work fun, rewarding and a great place to be
- Central office location 1 minute walk from North Sydney train station - with an amazing inhouse bar!
- Flexible working options including WFH
- Great employee benefits such as fitness and wellness programs, volunteer days and a day off for your birthday.
If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you. Please click "apply now".
