Your New Role

CV Services is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer (RPEQ) to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across the design, analysis and delivery of medium and high voltage electrical systems while supporting and mentoring fellow engineers.

You will be responsible for power system studies, protection design, technical reviews and the certification of engineering designs, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Conducting power system modelling including load flow, fault level, system strength and dynamic studies
- Performing power quality assessments, protection coordination and disturbance analysis
- Providing RPEQ certification for electrical engineering designs
- Supervising and reviewing MV/HV electrical designs, switchboards and control systems
- Contributing to Safety in Design workshops and risk management processes
- Reviewing technical specifications, reports and project documentation
- Acting as the technical lead in discussions with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring engineers while promoting engineering excellence across the business

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
- Current RPEQ accreditation
- Experience in a power systems engineering,



protection engineering or similar role
- Leading the development of protection systems in accordance with AS 2067, IEC 60909 and industry best practices
- Experience with power system modelling and analysis software such as ETAP and PowerCad
- Safety in Design experience and a practical approach to engineering solutions
- Proven experience producing technical reports, design documentation and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project environment
